Renowned as the home of the largest collection of native Australian wildlife, the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary welcomes visitors to an outstanding setting with many unique animals.

Enjoy watching the many wildlife species on offer, including over 1,400 mammals, as well as many reptiles and bird species. Apart from wildlife watching, you will also be able to enjoy bushwalking as you stroll through the beautiful nature trails that line the sanctuary.
There is a lot to see and do here. Visitors interested in learning more about Australia’s diverse flora and fauna shouldn’t miss the various wildlife presentations and programs held throughout the day. Also, participate in the interactive sessions, where the park keepers let you get close to many native mammals. There are several child-friendly attractions, and at select times throughout the park, you can hold and get your photo taken with a koala, snake, possum or echidna.
The Sanctuary also has a bird show called the “Free Flight Bird Show”. Here, visitors will see many of Australia’s native bird species, including pelicans, parrots, birds of prey, and the majestic wedge-tailed eagle.
Also located inside the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the Tree Top Challenge, a ropes course that is one of the largest in Australia. This course boasts over 80 adrenalin-pumping climbs and 11 zip lines spread over five challenging courses.
You can bring your own lunch or enjoy some of the food in the Sanctuary Cafe, including burgers, fish and chips, chicken and chips, salad wraps, fruit salad, ice cream, and cold drinks.
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has a dedicated car park on Tomewin Street that is open seven days a week for a fee. Alternatively, there is free off-street parking nearby.
