Joining one of the Gold Coast segway tours could be the coolest way to travel and explore some of the sites around this amazing place.
Segways are also one of the greenest, more sustainable and environment-friendly modes of transportation available since it has zero emissions and leaves no carbon footprint.
Gold Coast Segway Hire & Tours, Surfers Paradise
Segway hire is recommended for those over 10 years of age and weigh over 45kg – with other age restrictions imposed for longer tours. Segways are not recommended for those who are pregnant or have an existing medical condition.
So if you’re looking for a different, more eco-friendly way of sightseeing, explore it all on top of a segway. Taking part in an authorized tour ensures that your guide has completed the required training and knows the different safety guidelines and local regulations for operating a segway.
Please, what is your phone number?
Do you hire Segways to be taken away, that is not on one of your tours but for use on another site?
I run the two big bars at Byron Bluesfest at Easter. It is a big site and bugger the pushbike I’ve used for the last 13 years.
My excuse is I’m 63.
Am talking about a week or so of hire.

Hi Norm,
I’m not aware of any Segway hire companies that allow customer to take the Segways off on their own. All are conducted by way of a tour with a tour guide.
Sorry I can be of any assistance.
Jess
Hello, I am interested in taking a group of about 8 children aged 10 to 14 and my husband and I on a gold coast segway tour.
Can you give me an idea of costs or what is the best way to do a segway party for an 11yr old?
Thanks Edel
Hi Edel,
I have done some research and it appears that a lot of the segway operators on the Gold Coast have age restrictions and don’t allow rental to under 14s.
However, you can take segway tours at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary but the only downside there is there is group maximums of 4 people. The upside with this option is you do also get admission to the park itself, so it might be a nice day out (you might just have to rotate the groups).
You can view more information at https://hpoint.experienceoz.com.au/en/gold-coast/mcintosh-island-tour
Thank you I will look into that.
Regards,
Edel
There are segway rides at Broadwater Parklands now…. starting from $5 and its a good way to hae a go….they also run tours….these guys set up every day near the waterpark and trampoline. I did a 1hr tour last week and was glad to hae the tour guide along…showed us a few things on how to ride a segway well….we did sand, rocks, sand dunes, dirt tracks, and a lot of fun too! :)
