The caves are made up of two large chambers which are linked by adjoining tunnels. Walking down into the caves, you will be shown an audio-visual display in the main “presentation cave”. Here, you will be given some details about the Glow Worm lifecycle and how they transform from larvae into adults, why they glow as well as information about the caves themselves.

On your tour, you will be guided through the cave and down into the depths to see the ‘glow worm cave’ which is filled with thousands of glowing Glow Worms. Glow Worms glow to attract small insects in order to feed, so visitors will be able to witness this natural process during their visit to the caves.

Within the cave, you will also view hundreds of stalagmites and stalactites, however, please note that some are very fragile, therefore visitors should not touch them. This will help to preserve the cave for future visitors.

Photography is not permitted within the cave, even non-flash and noise must be kept to a minimum. Tours take approximately 1 hour and are suitable for all ages.
