The Gold Coast Arts Centre is a versatile venue located in Surfers Paradise that hosts many events on the Gold Coast all throughout the year.

With its very own cinema, large atrium theatre and gallery, the Gold Coast Arts Centre is the central hub for arts and culture on the Gold Coast.

Gold Coast Arts Centre Cafe, Movies & Cinema Shows

Come and visit the Arts Centre Cinema which plays a range of new release mainstream films, locally produced Australian films, foreign language films and art-house films. Swing past the Arts Cafe on your way in and grab a glass of wine to enjoy with your movie, or just stop for a coffee and a snack. Films play regularly throughout the day between 9am and 9pm.

The Gold Coast Arts Centre also hosts many theatre shows throughout the year. With 1135 seats in the auditorium, an orchestra pit and balcony seating, this is truly a great venue to come and see a musical or play. For smaller shows, the venue also has two smaller venues called The Basement and The Space which are ideal for cabaret, live musical performances, comedy shows and plays.

Come and visit the Gold Coast Arts Centre Gallery which houses hundreds of paintings as part of their permanent collection and also hosts over 20 exhibitions every year from local and international artists. Entry is FREE, so there is no excuse to come and check out this beautiful display of art.

The Arts Centre is conveniently located in Surfers Paradise, within walking distance from the beach, however, if you are driving, there are limited car parking spaces around the venue which cost approximately $1 per hour. Public transport is also a good option as the bus, train and tram network connects visitors to most of the main attractions around the Gold Coast.
