The Gold Coast Turf Club is home to Australia’s richest race day, the Jeep Magic Millions. The Magic Millions is recognised as the second largest horse race event in Australia – after the Melbourne Cup. Held in January each year, the Magic Millions racing event is one of the most popular sporting events in Australia. The Magic Millions carnival is also well known for its yearling sale, where horse buyers and sellers come together to try and find the next champion horse. Millions of dollars are spent each year on thoroughbred sales and this yearling sale is one of the biggest in Australia.

Other feature race days include the prestigious Prime Minister’s Cup, Easter Race Day, Gold Coast Stakes, City of Gold Coast Cup Race Day and the Melbourne Cup Race Day.

Many people also come to the club to have a meal at the Skyline Restaurant. Whilst you eat a meal, enjoy panoramic views of the racecourse and the beautiful Gold Coast skyline from your very own table. With tables set for 2, 4, 6 or 8, come and have a romantic dinner with your loved one or a fun night out with family or friends.

Alternatively, check out the Prime Minister’s Bar which has glass windows that give the perfect view of the mounting yard and winning post, certainly the place to be on any race day. The Prime Minister’s Bar also plays live music after the races on Saturdays until around 7.30pm.

Getting to the turf club is easy as it located just 5 minutes from Surfers Paradise. The Gold Coast Turf Club offers patrons a free courtesy bus on our weekend race days which travel from the venue through Surfers Paradise and down to Tweed Heads with many stops in between.
