Purlingbrook Falls Walk Map & Address, Springbrook Qld
The surrounding environment of Purlingbrook Falls is almost unmatched for serenity. From the lookout above the falls, you can appreciate the plant life that thrives in this rain forest. Make sure you bring your camera to capture some of the beautiful scenery around here, as well as the falls themselves.
Take a walk around the Purlingbrook Falls Circuit which is a 4km walk that takes most approximately 2 hours to complete. The walk is moderate and suitable for all ages, but make sure you bring some good walking shoes as some parts are rocky and can be slippery. Note that it is easier to walk in a clockwise direction, or else you will end up climbing up 450 steps at the end of your hike! For those just wanting a short stroll, head down to the lookout which is only a short 300-metre walk and the view is beautiful.

Is it fully open now?
Hi Sarah,
There have been no more park updates, so I would assume some sections remain closed.
Regards,
Jess
Can you please tell me if the walk is now 100% open after the floods. Does the drive to the location have any gravel roads.
Regards Sandra
Hi Sandra,
Due to damage from ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie, which caused fallen trees, landslides, wash-outs, track scouring and other hazards, the eastern section of Purling Brook circuit, from the John Stacey suspension bridge to the junction where it meets the track to Settlement day-use area near the causeway at the top of the falls, has been declared unsafe and remains closed.
Access to the main western lookout and the eastern lookout, including the causway at the top of falls, remains open.
All other areas of Springbrook National Park are also open, unless otherwise stated.
Kind regards,
Jess
Are you open after the cyclone damage?
Regards
Phil
G’day Phil,
The track is only partially open. Here is the latest information from Queensland Parks.
Kind regards,
Jess
