Another shopping location of the area is undoubtedly the Night-time Beachfront markets in Surfers Paradise. The Surfers Paradise markets are open every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings and showcase arts and crafts, jewellery, clothing and accessory stalls.
Whilst walking along the busy streets of the local markets, discover the honey and fruit stalls offering free samples for tasting. Whether you plan to pick up some clothes, items to take home or some locally produced foods, the markets have you covered.
I am planing to visit Australia in Oct 2013, Melbourne , Sydney, and Brisbane with my family.
I need to know about the weather in Oct and can we swim on that time? What are places we can enjoy in those cities as a family?
Hi Manar,
As i live in Melbourne, i can tell you that the average Melbourne temperature for October is 20 degrees, the average Gold Coast temperature for October is 25 degrees, and Sydney sits about half way between those.
I don’t have websites for Melbourne or Sydney yet, but for Gold Coast / Brisbane attractions, you can find the entire list of Gold Coast attractions here. If you only have a limited time, you can’t look past the range of Gold Coast Theme Parks (Movie World & Dreamworld at the very least).
As for your question for swimming, you can really do this any time of the year on the Gold Coast (both at the beach and also the water parks). In fact, visitors from Melbourne and Sydney come here in Winter to escape the cold weather.
Hope this helps!
