Located just 5kms north of Surfers Paradise, this fun water playground is within walking distance of many of the main Gold Coast attractions and accommodation units.
The Rockpools Water Playground Southport, Gold Coast
For kids over about the age of 5, there is a racing track where they can bring their bikes or scooters and ride and also a playground down the southern end of the parklands. There is also a swimming lagoon located on the beach which is perfect for those who want to swim in the ocean but offers protection from currents and other marine animals. Importantly, the Rockpools are manned by lifeguards during opening hours.
There is a cafe located within the parklands within a short walking distance which serves hot and cold takeaway food. Australia Fair Shopping Centre is also only a short distance away which has a food court and fast food outlets.
There is a large carpark at Broadwater Parklands which holds approximately 200 cars, however, there is a 2-hour parking limit and a fee. Parking inspectors regularly check this area, so make sure you purchase a ticket and stay within the parking limits.
The Rockpool is FREE to attend. So for a great day out with the whole family, come down to the Rockpools and have a fun day on the Gold Coast foreshore.
