Will there be fighter jet fly by like in 2018?
Hi Frank,
I have searched local news website and the event website itself and can’t find any information about a jet flyover this year.
The most i could find is the Roulettes aerial displays (Friday 24 October at 5:35pm, Saturday 25 October at 2:07pm and Sunday 26 October at 1:22pm) and the Royal Australian Navy will have two of their Seahawk helicopters on display.
I have also checked the Airforce website and there is no news of a planned flyover. In 2018, it appears they posted a news story 2 days prior to the Sunday flyover, so there might still be late-breaking news on this. It might be worth checking https://www.airforce.gov.au/operations/flying-operations/flying-activity prior to the event just in case.
Thanks
Michael
Where do you pick up the Tickets at the venue
Hi Daphne,
I can see where your question is coming from as i just went through the whole booking process and there really is zero information on the pickup locations.
What i have found though is there are 3 Ticketek collection boxes on the official track map located at https://d35kvm5iuwjt9t.cloudfront.net/pdf/GOLDIE19_EventMap.pdf.
You can see the icons located at Gate 1 (Cnr Gold Coast Hwy and Breaker Street), Gate 2 (Commodore Drive) and Gate 6 (Esplanade between Ocean Avenue and Higman Street).
Thanks
Michael
how much extra are tickets if you buy them at the gate on the day. If you pre purchase on line does that get you into the concert.
Thanks for your time.
Mark
Hi Mark,
I have have looked across the official website and also looked at previous year’s events and can’t seem to find any record of what gate prices were – which i would have thought would give an indication of what they may apply this year- but unfortunately no luck there.
All it says is “Tickets will be more expensive at the gate:, but when you factor in “a service & handling fee includes a one-off fee of $7.95 per transaction on all purchases”, the difference may be negligible (unless you are buying reserved seats and wish to secure a place).
As for the concert, all it states is “The Broadwater Sounds concert is included in any same-day event ticket to the Vodafone Gold Coast 600”, so i would take that you get access regardless if you buy tickets online or not.
Hope this helps.
Michael
