Parents, you are welcome to run with your kids. You are also welcome to run the last bit into the stadium if you wish—to do this, simply stand at the stadium entrance and jump in with them.
On race day, every competitor will receive a Gold Coast Running Festival finisher’s medal as they cross the finish line.
Participants will receive fruit and drinks as they cross the finish line, and kiosks will be open at the venue where they can purchase food and drink.
It’s recommended that you leave all valuables at home; however, if you have a bag and personal belongings, you can leave them in the bag storage area while you race. The location of each bag storage area varies by location, so be sure to check with the Help Desk if you are unsure where it is. A tag from your number bib will be attached to your bag so we know which bag is yours when you come back to collect it.
It’s understood that some people cannot run without music – if this applies to you, you are asked to keep the volume low or only wear your headphones in one ear to hear officials, competitors, and course vehicles around you. As it’s a multi-lap course, it’s very common for people and course vehicles to travel up behind you.
Parking is open from 5am (please park according to all signage and pay where indicated if you’re within the paid parking lot). Controlled access between 5:30am – 9:15am. Access is via Centreline Pl, then Promethean Way, as per the directions in the image gallery below. All other parking on side streets is as per local council rules. Red-shaded areas indicate closed roads.
So bring your whole family to this fun outdoor charity event and get some exercise whilst you raise money for a worthy cause!
