Are Coolangatta Fireworks on tonight 31/12/2020?
Hi Michael,
I have looked online and the only information I can find states that the Gold Coast and Tweed Councils cancelled their fireworks displays.
I did see a small snippet on Google saying that there may be smaller shows, but any information is hidden behind a paywall on the goldcoastbulletin website and i can’t see anything without signing up.
I would suggest calling the council, but it seems like their offices may be closed now.
Thanks
Michael
are there fireworks at surfers paradise this year 2020
Hi Jolanda,
Checking the news and the official council websites, the Gold Coast has cancelled its New Year’s Eve fireworks, with the city’s mayor saying he “cannot guarantee tourists and locals would stay socially distanced”.
So aside from private events held at the different venues around the city, there doesn’t appear to be any official events being held – which seems to be the case in many cities around Australia – except Sydney.
Thanks
Michael
