Cosplay
The Supanova Cosplay Competition is back for 2025, with the return of skits and performances! They’re pleased to announce that the Cosplay Showcase will continue to be sticking around for the foreseeable future! This low-stakes, low-stress event is open to cosplayers of all experience levels to get on stage and strike a pose.
Cosplay HQ
Cosplay HQ is the hub of all cosplay activity at Supanova! Here’s where to check in for the Competition and Showcase, visit our Cosplay Repair Station, meet our Cosplay Ambassadors, and have a chat with our Cosplay Team throughout the day!
Steamkittens Photobooth
Getting a costume together in time for an event is an achievement well worth celebrating by immortalising it with a fabulous photo! Our cosplay photobooth will be running all weekend and it’s a fantastic opportunity to come along, strike a pose, and have your picture taken by our Resident Cosplay Photographer Steamkittens!
Cosplay Repair Station
Cosplay HQ is also the home of the Cosplay Repair Station! We’ve all had that dreadful moment at a convention: a costume malfunction, usually at the worst time. Something that was stuck when you left home has become dramatically unstuck. Something needs sewing. Something needs hot glue. Something needs pinning, stapling, or all of the above.
Thankfully, the Cosplay HQ Repair Station is here to help over the weekend for all cosplay repair problems. Our skilled team can assess and repair your costume, give you quality advice, and get you out and ready for your photo shoots and onto the stage for the competition.
Getting There
You can get to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre by catching the 745 bus from Nerang Station, which will take you to Broadbeach South Light Rail Station. From there, it is a short walk to the Convention Centre.
If you decide to drive, there are a couple of parking options. The GCCEC car park entrance is located at the northern end of the building, accessible from traffic lights off the Gold Coast Highway and the main driveway off TE Peters Drive.
- Undercover car spaces are available at the GCCEC for short-term parking. A flat fee is charged for car parking at the centre, open 24 hours, seven days a week.
- Jubilee Avenue Car Park (undercover) is located underneath the Qube building on the corner of Queensland Avenue and Jubilee Ave. The carpark is open 24 hrs, seven days a week, with short and long-term parking options available.
So come down to Supanova Gold Coast and have a great time with all things film, TV, gaming and comics!
